Today’s
the big day! Disney announced all of the details for their upcoming game,
Disney Infinity! I’ve been excited for this day since I realized that this game
existed!
Disney
Infinity is going to be an interactive game where you unlock various content
with buying figurines of characters from the whole Disney and Pixar library.
You then put these figurines on an infinity base and the characters appear in
your game. You can also get tokens which you can place under the figurine to
give your characters more power ups.
Once these characters are unlocked, you
can either play a structured, story based Adventure Mode or you can play in Toy
Box Mode, where the possibilities are pretty much limitless! The Toy Box Mode
lets you create your own worlds and edit the characters in any way you want. you can make buildings, change the color of the sky, give Buzz Lightyear's wings to Mr. Incredible to make him fly and much more. It will also let you interact with many characters and make your own adventures. You can do anything in Toy Box Mode. You can be as creative as you want. There is also
an online community where you can share your creations with people, allow people to download those worlds and enter your worlds in contests.
The
starter pack will include figures of Sulley from Monsters University, Jack
Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean and Mr. Incredible from The Incredibles. There
will be separate play sets of them as well. Those are the only 3 play sets
announced so far, but Disney will be releasing play sets and figures of their
characters and worlds from the entire Disney and Pixar filmography. They will also be releasing play sets whenever a new Disney film comes out.
Disney Infinity will be released for Nintendo 3DS, Wii, Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, PC and mobile devices on June 2013. I am extremely excited about this videogame. I love the whole concept. It is, by far, Disney's most ambitious videogame and I can not wait for its release. I will definitely buy this game the second it comes out.
Here's an epic trailer for Disney Infinity.
