Frozen Breaks More Box Office Records!
This is unbelievable! I'm telling you, Frozen is unstoppable! It has broken even more box office records, despite there being a new competitor in theaters! Then again, that "competitor" is The Nut Job and I highly doubt that's going to make even a dent on Frozen's success!
Anyways, as of now, Frozen has $347 million domestically and a massive $810 million worldwide. It has also beat The Lion King as the highest grossing Disney animated film domestically! Well, sort of..... Excluding all the re-releases for The Lion King, it made $312 million domestically. However, with all the re-releases, the film has made $422 million domestically, so Frozen only beat The Lion King domestically if you don't count the re-releases. It has also made more domestically then Finding Nemo, which, also excluding the re-release, made $339 million. Frozen is also now the highest grossing non-sequel animated film domestically! It even has a chance to reach $1 billion worldwide, since it hasn't even been released everywhere around the world yet!
Also, keep in mind that Frozen came out back in Thanksgiving on November 22. That's over 2 months ago! Yet, the film is still in the top 5 in the box office over the weekends! This is very, very rare to see and I am really happy to be watching Frozen become so successful! This is truly amazing to witness. Frozen was a really good film and I feel it definitely deserves its success.
We have entered a third golden age in Disney animation. We've been in this golden age since 2007 with Meet the Robinsons, but I've never seen any Disney animated film break so many records and actually be there to witness it. It's a great time for animation fans to be alive.
What are your thoughts on all of Frozen's success? Do you think it can reach $1 billion? Comment below!
