A 'Frozen' Short Film is On the Way! Plus, My Thoughts on 'The Story of Frozen'

During the 1 hour TV documentary, The Story of Frozen, it was announced that Anna and Elsa will return in the form of a short film. It will be called Frozen Fever and will be released in early 2015. It will also have a new original song.

Honestly, I knew this was going to happen. They did the same thing with Tangled and released a short film before the 3D re-release of Beauty and the Beast. This came as no surprise to me. However, I am still really looking forward to it.

Now, what did I think of The Story of Frozen? Well, I thought it was pretty interesting, though they could have gone into a little more depth.

It told a lot of really interesting stories about the development of the film. They gave some details on what Elsa would have been like as a villain, which they originally wanted Elsa to be. That was amazing to see. Heck, she was going to have living weasels (or some other animal like that) that would climb onto her body on command and form a coat for her! That is so awesome! But I do think they made the right choice to make her a good but misunderstood character. Also, the fact that the song "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" was cut until the very last minute of production was pretty shocking.

But the excitement doesn't end there! During the documentary, they also took a few minutes to talk about Disney's next film, Big Hero 6, and showed a hilarious clip!

Here is the clip:
