It's finally here! It's the movie to start the summer! it's The Avengers!
I just came out from seeing The Avengers and I got to tell you, this film exceeded my expectations.
In, The Avengers, Thor's brother, Loki wants to be king and take over the world. It is up to Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye to overcome their differences and their hate for each other and team up to save the world from this threat.
People have been saying that there wasn't much backstory of the characters. Well, that's what all the previous movies are for. See the previous movies before this one.
One thing I really liked about this movie was that all of the characters are the same as they were in their previous films. For example, Thor still doesn't know much about living on planet earth and Captain America still doesn't know much about present day things and people and phrases. This provided some excellent comedy relief.
Speaking of comedy relief, The Hulk and Iron Man, along with the other characters, had many humorous moments.
This film was a very action-packed film. There were a lot of cool fight scenes that were a lot of fun to watch.
I really like to read comics and that includes The Avengers and this film really lived up to the comics. Marvel chose a very good director to direct this film sice he is apparently a huge Marvel fan and it really shows.
Another thing that really stuck out to me was the character development. When the Avengers reunited, they hated each other and were beating the crap out of each other and they had to learn to overcome that and save the world. The character developmnt really stood out to me.
Overall, The Avengers was a fun, humorous, action-packed superhero film you won't want to miss out on. Also, wait until the end credits are over because there is a little something afterwards.
