Disney Officially Announces 'Moana'

Well this is certainly very exciting! We knew about Moana  for quite some time after it was leaked, but now Disney has made an official announcement about the film! Disney also released a gorgeous piece of concept art, which you can see above this paragraph!

Here is the official plot synopsis for the film:

"In the ancient South Pacific world of Oceania, Moana, a born navigator, sets sail in search of a fabled island. During her incredible journey, she teams up with her hero, the legendary demi-god Maui, to traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous sea creatures, breathtaking underworlds and ancient folklore."

Wow..... This is just..... Wow. This is amazing! It sounds so fun and epic! Also, they announced who will be directing it. The film will be directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, who are one of the best directing duos in my opinion.

Not only that, but there are also rumors that it will be in the same animation style as Paperman, the short film that was shown before Wreck-it Ralph and Feast, the short film that will be shown before Big Hero 6. If this is true, then that would be amazing! I'd be surprised if the technology is ready to be used in a full length animated film at the time it's supposed to be released, though.

Which leads me to the other announcement Disney made. The release date. It's not being released in 2018 like the leak suggested. Instead, it is coming out on November 23rd, 2016!

This film sounds really ambitious and epic in scale. I'm really looking forward to it and I hope you are all looking forward to it as well!
