'Inside Out' Opens with $91 Million, Marks the Biggest Opening Weekend for an Original Film


This is probably the most intense weekend at the box office I've ever experienced! With Inside Out and Jurassic World going head-to-head, Inside Out had some stellar competition. Ultimately, though, Inside Out only made it to second place, breaking Pixar's streak of films constantly topping the box office on opening weekend. But that doesn't mean it couldn't break a pretty huge record along the way! Let's take a look at the numbers!

New Voice Cast for 'The Good Dinosaur' Revealed


As you all know, The Good Dinosaur when through countless changes in production. This, of course, meant a director change, pushing the movie back until this November, and completely reworking the story. I don't even think the dinosaurs are even farmers anymore like they originally were! However, that wasn't all that changed during production. Unsurprisingly, the voice cast was also completely changed.

New Story Details for 'The Good Dinosaur' Emerge


This recent article talked about Peter Sohn replacing Bob Peterson in the director's chair for Pixar's The Good Dinosaur, a film that went into some production problems and got pushed back from 2014 to November 2015. However, it also talked about some aspects of the film that have been changed and reveal new story details as well. It also showed some beautiful concept art which you can see above this paragraph.

Pixar has finally announced a new director for The Good Dinosaur! The film will be directed by Pete Sohn, who was originally the co-director.

Well this is certainly very exciting! We knew about Moana  for quite some time after it was leaked, but now Disney has made an official announcement about the film! Disney also released a gorgeous piece of concept art, which you can see above this paragraph!

A 'Frozen' Short Film is On the Way! Plus, My Thoughts on 'The Story of Frozen'


During the 1 hour TV documentary, The Story of Frozen, it was announced that Anna and Elsa will return in the form of a short film. It will be called Frozen Fever and will be released in early 2015. It will also have a new original song.

Today is indeed a very sad day in the animation world. Studio Ghibli, the Japanese anime studio that made masterpieces such as My Neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Grave of the Fireflies and Spirited Away, has closed down.

New 'Big Hero 6' Trailer Released


This came a lot sooner than I thought. But, with the release of Planes: Fire and Rescue, I guess Disney thinks people are actually going to see that film, so they decided to release a Big Hero 6 trailer right now. But, releasing it before Guardians of the Galaxy would have been a no-brainer. Mini rant aside, I love this trailer!
