The Muppets Movie Review

The Muppets is the first Muppet movie in 12 years and this film proves that The Muppets haven't lost their magic.

In The Muppets, Gary and Walter are brothers. Gary is a human and Walter is a Muppet. They are both huge Muppet fans. Gary, his girlfriend Mary and Walter go to Los Angelas to celebrate Gary and Mary's 10th anniversary. When they go to take a tour around the Muppets Studio, Walter wanders off and overhears a scheme to tear down the studio to search for oil. This scheme is planned by oil baron, Tex Richman. In order for the Muppets to keep the studio, they need to put on one last show and raise $10 million. It is up to Gary, Mary, Walter and Kermit the Frog to try gather up all of the other Muppets and try to get everyone to care about the Muppets again in order to raise the $10 million.

I loved how the story was so similar to how it is in real life. It's been a long time since the last Muppet movie and alot of people might have forgotten the Muppets. They also made that a big part of the story in The Muppets. This issue is one of the big problems the Muppets have to fix in order to keep the studio. I
thought that was very clever.

The humor in this film was classic Muppet humor. There were alot of breaking the fourth wall jokes (those jokes are when the characters point out that they are, in fact, in a movie). But it wasn't only fourth wall jokes, there was a major variety of different jokes. I also loved the little references to past Muppet movies.

While the film had a lot of humor, it was also a very heartfelt film. At one point, Kermit the Frog sings about how much he misses the other Muppets and how he would just want to turn the clock back and perform another show, which is guaranteed to make true Muppet fans, people who grew up with the Muppets, like me, shed a tear.

The songs were also a lot of fun and really catchy. I even have the Blu-Ray of the film that comes with the download code for the soundtrack.

The Muppets was also very well written. It shows how much of a fan of the Muppets Jason Segel is (he co-wrote the film) and how much he loves and cares about the Muppets.

The characters are so funny and have such unique personalities which people can really relate to. All of the Muppets have different personalities from each other. Also, Walter is a great new character and is easily a welcomed member of the Muppet family.

The Muppets is a very nostalgiac film which gave me the nostalgiac feeling the film makers were aiming for. It is a wonderful film which will please Muppet fans, like me, but it will also please other audiences of any age, but other audiences will not get that nostalgiac feeling the Muppet fans will get from watching the film.

Overall, The Muppets is a wonderful, nostalgiac film which will please both Muppet fans and other audiences.

I'm giving The Muppets an A+ . Whether you are a Muppet fan or not, this film is an event you won't want to miss. This film is definitely one of the best films of 2011.
