Golden Globes 2014 Nominees Announced

The Golden Globe nominees have just been announced, and I am not entirely happy with the results. I mean, I never really cared about the Golden Globes, but this is just stupid. Since this is an animation blog, I will be focusing on the animation nominees, but you can see all of the nominees in all of the categories here.

Here are the nominees for Best Animated Film:

Frozen

The Croods

Despicable Me 2

Do you see the problem here? Hmmm, let’s see…. Monsters University isn’t nominated! Instead, The Croods got nominated! The Croods was a godawful film that sucked on all levels! Why the hell did they choose to nominate that piece of garbage over Monsters University?! What the hell were they thinking?! Are they insane?! It sure seems like it.

But at least Frozen was nominated for not only Best Animated Film (if Frozen wasn’t nominated either, I would need to need to find a pitchfork and start a riot or something), but also Best Original Song with “Let it go” but Frozen and Monsters University should have also been nominated for more awards such as Best Director, Best Film and Best Score. Wouldn’t it be nice if animation got nominated for more categories other than Best Animated Film and got more recognition? I’m definitely going to write a rant about that on here soon.

Overall, I am really angry about Monsters University not being nominated, but I was never really a fan of the Golden Globes.
