DreamWorks to Make a TV Series of The Croods?

They did it do Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon, and Kung fu Panda. Now, they might be doing it to The Croods. The CEO of DreamWorks, Jeffery Katzenberg has mentioned this. Here is the quote:

Well, I think like the franchises before it, that’s — one of the things that comes is there’s lots of things for us to do with the IP outside of feature films and we actually have a number of those in the works. So I think you can anticipate there will be a TV show.

While it is not official yet, it most likely will happen. So, not only do we get a, unwanted sequel to that sub par film, but now we're getting a TV show. It is completely unnecessary, like the other DreamWorks TV shows.

The sequel to The Croods, is also unnecessary. What is it with DreamWorks and making sequels? DreamWorks has been making better films (other than The Croods), but one thing that has never changed is making sequels to their movies. It seems like DreamWorks has changed as a studio, but then a sequel gets announced! They are also doing sequels to Kung fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon. The How to Train Your Dragon sequel sounds like it has an interesting concept, but how is Hiccup going to go on adventures like he did in the first one with only one leg? That's what I really want to know.

What do you think about the announced TV spinoff and sequel to The Croods? What do you think about DreamWorks' upcoming and previous sequels and their current TV shows?
