At the D23 Expo this past summer, Pixar announced that there would be a Monsters University short called Party Central which would be released before The Good Dinosaur. Since that moved to 2015, it will now be shown before The Muppets: Most Wanted.
I knew this would happen! There were 2 very obvious clues: One being that The Good Dinosaur was delayed to 2015 and it would be too far away from Monsters University's release to be showing a Monsters University short film. Another being that before The Muppets back in 2011, there was a Toy Story Short film. Considering these two clues, doing this was very obvious and made perfect sense.
One thing I'm happy about is the fact that there will now be at least something being released by Pixar this year! Even if it is a short film, at least there's something Pixar is putting out this year!
