There have been rumors surfacing the internet about Pixar making a Star Wars film. I highly doubt this is actually going to happen.
Pixar has always made nothing but original films. They have constantly said that they do not make their films based off of anything, even when asked if they were going to make a Marvel film!
However, even though there most likely will not be a Star Wars film developed entirely by Pixar, it is very possible and likely that they could be somehow involved in the Star Wars films that have already been announced.
It is very likely that Pixar could be doing some special effects for the upcoming Star Wars films or could perhaps look over the scripts and fix things up like they have done with many other Disney films such as John Carter and Tron: Legacy, along with the newer Disney animated films. By the way, I love how Disney realizes how the Pixar braintrust is so talented that they actually have them look over the Disney films!
While there might be a little Pixar magic in the upcoming Star Wars films, it is extremely unlikely that they would be making one themselves.
